Niche brand Huawei has partnered with the Parrot French brand to create bundles combining smartphones and drones. The first fruit of this alliance is to find right now on Amazon.

This is a partnership that makes sense. Honor, alternative brand manufacturer Huawei and Parrot, the French manufacturer of connected devices (speakers, drones), signed a trade agreement. The goal: to develop compounds packs a product of both brands for an experience logically optimized. These packs will be sold online and will address the "digital natives" and "early adopters", two targets particularly comfortable with technological gadget.

The first fruit of this partnership is already online, Christmas approaching forces. Visit Amazon.fr today and until the end of next week to find a bundle combines a 6 Honor, Honor flagship of the range we tested last month , and Jumping Sumo, a robot that driver using a smartphone. 1000 bundles are on sale for 380 euros instead of 460 euros. A nice discount.

The Juming Sumo is a wonderful achievement from Parrot. Presented for the first time there almost a year ago , Jumping Sumo is a new generation of remote controlled car. Equipped with a camera, the drone pilot on demand or for subjective (through WiFi Direct connection and the dedicated application). A toy for all children, young and older children. Obviously, Jumping Sumo works with any Android smartphone. The association with Honor 6 is a pretext.

A commercial partnership or marketing?

Because both brands have a defect in common. They lack visibility. This is obviously the real purpose of this alliance qualified by both parties strategically. It is obviously not to sell the cheap one thousand units of a product. However, both companies will pool the economic efforts to fund promotional campaigns and marketing that will provide them with opportunities to showcase their brand and create contact with consumers.

In the official press release, the two marks indicate that this partnership is bound to last and other similar collaborations are expected. However we ask a question. Parrot is a rather premium brand and Honor is oriented on a price segment (not technology) mid-range, or below (with Honor 3C), the two brands do they really have other equally relevant bundles ( because it really is) to offer in the future? It will be difficult.
