LG G Watch A: the second generation could be compatible 4G

Watch G R is available only since last month but it would already talk of a G LG Watch R2. The manufacturer would bring 4G to its round watch to make it more autonomous.

Android Wear was officially launched in June. Six months later, the OS Android team derivative already two watches in the LG catalog and it could be a third to be added early next year. The Korea Business , which relays information, tentatively called G Watch R2. Sign that it will retain at least the shape of the G Watch R, and perhaps even its data sheet as the main novelty is expected 4G connectivity.

Recall that the current model runs on Snapdragon 400, of which there is a 4G release. It should therefore not be necessary to replace the components in place, if perhaps not the battery to maintain adequate autonomy. Add a SIM slot suffice. After all, Watch G R is already a beautiful machine. The only real fault we had found him was his excessive dependence companion smartphone and adding a cellular connectivity could solve it.

The question is how it will be used. We obviously think of continuous notifications but also to send SMS or making calls using a Bluetooth headset, or even a simple headset as watches already have a microphone. However, the focus on 4G intrigue us. 3G connectivity would have been enough for that, as in Gear S from Samsung. The launch is expected in the MWC 2015. We could wait months to get an answer.
